Resumen de El efecto FOMO en los alumnos de la Universidad Tecnológica de Tijuana

  La presente investigación se lleva a cabo entre el alumnado de nuevo ingreso de las carreras administrativas de la UTT (Tijuana, B.C. México), al observar la necesidad que presentan nuestros alumnos de participar en las redes sociales, el objetivo es identificar el nivel de impacto que el FOMO está provocando en ellos, determinando el nivel de uso de las redes sociales. La metodología seguida es descriptiva-cuantitativa, utilizando la estadística como herramienta de medición. Se aprecia que los alumnos invierten su tiempo en el seguimiento de redes sociales impactando en las áreas académica, personal y laboral, ya que esta actividad la realizan simultáneamente al estar interactuando. Se concluye que los alumnos de esta universidad presentan una alta dependencia al dispositivo móvil, por lo que como maestros tenemos la responsabilidad de implementar estrategias pedagógicas cada vez más dinámicas que contrarresten la necesidad de estar pendientes de las publicaciones en las redes sociales, y concientizar al alumnado de la importancia de la concentración del aquí y el ahora, evitando la distracción en el aula.

  The present research is carried out among the new students of the administrative careers of UTT (Tijuana, BC Mexico), observing the need of our students to participate in social networks, the objective is to identify the level of impact That the FOMO is provoking in them, determining the level of use of social networks. The methodology followed is descriptive-quantitative, using statistics as a measurement tool. It is appreciated that the students spend their time in the monitoring of social networks impacting in the academic, personal and work areas, since this activity is carried out simultaneously while being interacting. It is concluded that the students of this university are highly dependent on the mobile device, so as teachers we have the responsibility to implement increasingly dynamic pedagogical strategies that counter the need to be aware of publications in social networks, and raise awareness of the Students of the importance of the concentration of the here and now, avoiding the distraction in the classroom.
