    La calidad en la enseñanza de la Estadística Aplicada en el Grado de Ingeniería Forestal requiere plantearse inicialmente por qué enseñar estadística, quién debe hacerlo y qué debe enseñar. Responder a estas cuestiones es el objetivo de este trabajo. Se han empleado los grupos naturales de discusión para obtener resultados con el consenso de expertos en el tema. Se ha concluido la necesidad de la estadística en la formación del Ingeniero Forestal, la adecuación de que el profesorado que la imparte sea ingeniero forestal y los contenidos principales sean Estadística descriptiva, técnicas de muestreo, estimación y contrastes de hipótesis y modelos lineales.

    The quality in the teaching of Applied Statistics for the Degree in Forest Engineering initially requires consider why, who and what should be taught. Answering these questions is the objective of this work. Natural discussion groups have been used to obtain results with the consensus of experts in the field. The conclusions have been: the need for Statistics in the training of Forestry Engineers, the adequacy that the teaching staff that teaches this subject belongs to the forest engineering field and that the main contents of the subject must to be: descriptive statistics, sampling techniques, estimation, hypothesis tests and linear models.
