Resumen de De la fantasia del somni a l’equilibri espiritual

En aquest article es reflexiona al voltant del sentit que s’atorga als somnis en la literatura medieval. En primer lloc, es distingeix el somni en sentit estricte de la visió o somni revelador de garantia espiritual, que implica un canvi de conducta. Des dels textos sagrats, la Bíblia i els Sants Pares, es fa palés com el somni alliçonador prové dels designis divins, mentres que el somni dolent té el seu origen en el maligne. La influència del somni preocupa a tots els vessants de la societat medieval, fins al punt que els moralistes recomanen estar alerta i no deixar pas a la influència dels perills de la nit. En la literatura, des de l’experiència del Somnium Scipionis contat per Macrobi al llibre sisé De Republica de Ciceró, o les visions al·legòriques del Roman de la Rose, les concomitàncies quant a contingut, estructura, forma i recursos retòrics són recurrents en obres com Il Corbaccio de Boccaccio, el Livre des Lamentations de Matheolus i l’Spill de Jaume Roig.

In this article we reflect on the meaning given to dreams in medieval literature. First, the dream is distinguished in the strict sense of the vision or dream revealing spiritual guarantee, which implies a change in behavior. From the sacred texts, the Bible and the Holy Parents, is reflected that the pleasing dream comes from the divine designs, while the bad dream has its origin in the evil one. The influence of sleep is a concern for all aspects of medieval society, to the point that moralists recommend being alert and not giving way to the influence of the dangers of the night. In the literature, from the experience of the Somnium Scipionis compiled by Macrobio in the sixth book of De Republica of Ciceron, or the romanic views of the Roman de la Rose, the relations regarding content, structure, form and rhetorical resources are recurring in works such as l Corbaccio of Boccaccio, the Livre des Lamentations of Matheolus and the Spill ofJaume Roig.
