Entre las materias del Grado de Historia resulta fundamental por su dimensión teórica la asignatura de Tendencias Historiográficas. Ese es un marco de reflexión muy adecuado dentro del cual plantearse la presencia de la Historiografía en los discursos fílmicos elaborados en el mundo contemporáneo. La vida del cine es mucho más corta que la de la Historia y puede parecer en principio que no son dos parámetros comparables. Sin embargo, se puede comprobar con facilidad cómo las producciones fílmicas están claramente condicionadas por los contextos históricos en los que han sido elaboradas. Pero más allá de constatar esta realidad propia del cine, resulta sorprendente comprobar una variable con mayor vigencia a la hora de tratar el Séptimo Arte de lo que en principio se podría sospechar: la identificación de una presencia bastante notable en los discursos fílmicos de las distintas posiciones de las tendencias historiográficas actuales.

Among the subjects of the degree of history is essential for its theoretical dimension the subject of historiographical trends. That is a very appropriate reflection framework within which considers the presence of historiography in the film speeches made in the contemporary world. The life of the film is much shorter than the history and may seem in principle, which are not two comparable parameters. However, you can check easily how film productions are clearly conditioned by the historical contexts in which have been elaborated. But rather than see this reality of the film, it is surprising to see a variable with greater force in dealing with the seventh art of what in principle would suspect: the identification of a quite remarkable presence in the film speeches of the different positions of the current historiographical trends.
