  El objetivo de este artículo es describir y reflexionar sobre la función de los datos abiertos y del acceso a la información pública en la reconstrucción de la memoria histórica, colectiva y social. La aparición de nuevos formatos no sólo modifica el papel del historiador sino que también modifica tanto la forma como el contenido.La cuestión debe ser analizada desde dos perspectivas: por un lado, desde aquellos acontecimientos del pasado que se reactualizan por la aparición de nueva fuentes que amplían, añaden o modifican el conocimiento sobre el suceso y, por otro lado, esde el presente con aquellos hechos noticiosos que desde el momento en el que se producen marcan el desarrollo de la historia futura.

  The aim of this article is to describe and rethink on the role of access to public information and open data in the reconstruction of historical, collective and social memory. The appearance of new formats not only modifies the role of the historian but it also transforms form and content of the story.The issue of open data and access to public information should be analyzed from two perspectives: from those events of the past that are updated after the disclosure of new documentation that expands the perspective of what happened and from the present with those media events that from the moment they occur, they mark the development of future history.
