Resumen de La morfologia verbal de subjuntiu al Segrià: estudi prospectiu

  En sociolingüística de la variació mirem d'establir avaluacions sobre el paper dels factors socials en la diferent imposició de les variables lingüístiques en l'ús real de la llengua. Però no s'acostuma a establir avaluacions sobre la influència dels factors purament lingüístics, estructurals, quant al grau d'imposició de les innovacions. El present article ofereix els resultats globals d'un estudi dut a terme aplicant en bona mesura aquesta darrera perspectiva, sobre la imposició de les formes estàndards (davant les dialectals) en la morfologia de mode subjuntiu en la comarca del Segrià (acabaments en tema -i, davant acabaments en tema -o). Estudi que ve a donar compte del fet que aquestes formes s'imposen en mesures diferents segons les persones verbals (menys en la primera i més en la tercera) i segons les conjugacions (menys en la primera i més en la resta), a banda de la diferent imposició segons els grups socials (més en dones i persones joves i menys en homes i persones grans). Cal deixar clar que es tracta d'un estudi prospectiu, no pas definitiu.

  Variational sociolinguistics studies the role that social factors play in determining the ways in which linguistic variables affect the actual use of language. But it is not usual to find evaluations of the influence of purely linguistic factors or structural features in the imposition of new forms. Our article offers the global results of a study carried out by applying precisely this sort of evaluation to a great extent, regarding the imposition of standard forms over dialectal ones in the area of the morphology of the subjunctive in the Segria dialect of Catalan (the surrounding area of the city of Lleida): i.e. -i endings (e.g. pateixis) vs. -o endings (dialectal patixos). Our conclusion is that the force of the influence of the standard forms depends on the verbal persons (less in the first person than in the third person, for example) and the conjugations (less in the first conjugation than in the others). Influence also varies according to social variables such as sex and age (more in women and younger generations than in men and older generations). Nevertheless our conclusions are not yet definitive.
