Resumen de Tutoría de la UNED ante los nuevos retos de la convergencia europea

La Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) lleva treinta y cinco años poniendo de manifiesto que hay otra forma de enseñar¿ porque hay otra forma de aprender. Su creación e incorporación en el sistema universitario español en el año 1972 supuso una atrevida innovación que ha posibilitado a muchos miles de estudiantes la consecución de titulaciones universitarias que no habrían podido lograr en instituciones universitarias presenciales. En la organización de su sistema de enseñanza la tutoría es un elemento clave. El cambio metodológico que se reclama desde el EEES viene exigido por la concepción de la sociedad del conocimiento como una sociedad del aprendizaje donde al estudiante (sujeto-que-aprende) se le sitúa en el centro y referencia de cualquier actuación educativa. En consecuencia, la Tutoría UNED se enfrenta a nuevos retos al igual que el resto de modalidades de tutoría de las universidades presenciales.

The Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) has been highlighting for 35 years that there is another way to teach¿because there is another way to learn. Its creation and its inclusion into the Spanish University system in 1972 meant a daring innovation, which has made it possible for thousands of students to get university degrees that would not have been achieved in institutions with full time classroom courses. In the organization of its teaching system, tutorial support sessions are a crucial element. The methodological change which is demanded from the EHEA is due to the conception of the Society of the Knowledge as a learning society in which the student (person-who-learns) is the core and the reference for any educational intervention. Therefore, the tutorial sessions at the UNED are facing new challenges, just as the rest of tutorial models of full time classroom Universities.
